PalliCalc is purely an educational reference tool. It is NOT a medical device and is NOT intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease.
Any calculations or scores generated must be independently verified by a qualified healthcare professional using primary medical literature. It is NOT a substitute for professional medical judgment, diagnosis, or treatment.
1. Terms of Use
By accessing or using PalliCalc ("the Platform"), you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Verification is Mandatory: All calculations (e.g., Opioid conversions, PRN doses) and assessment scores must be independently verified against standard medical references and your institution's local protocols.
- No Liability: Alivioscript Solutions, its developers, and contributors accept no liability for medication errors, adverse clinical outcomes, misdiagnoses, or damages resulting from the use of this software. You assume full responsibility for patient care.
- No Doctor-Patient Relationship: Use of this software does not establish a doctor-patient relationship between the developers and any individual.
2. Validated Tools (IP Rights)
We incorporate recognized diagnostic tools to facilitate workflow. We do not claim ownership of these tools. Rights remain with their respective creators.

3. Patient Education & Guides
The platform contains educational pamphlets (e.g., Seizure, Pain, Opioids, End of Life Care). These are subject to the following:
Educational Use Only
- Not Validated Tools: Unlike the diagnostic scales, these guides are educational aids, not validated clinical instruments.
- Not Medical Advice: They do not replace proper healthcare education provided by a doctor or pharmacist.
- Translations: Variations may exist between English, Malay, and Chinese versions. English is primary.
4. Privacy & Data Security
We utilize a "Privacy-by-Design" architecture:
- No Cloud Storage of PHI: Scores and calculations are processed locally on your device. We do not store patient names or IC numbers.
- Ephemeral Handovers: QR code handovers encode data directly into the image string. This data is never saved to a database.
- Analytics: We track anonymous usage stats via Google Analytics 4 (GA4). No personal data is collected.
5. Limitation of Liability
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. In no event shall the developers be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of the software.
6. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alivioscript Solutions from any claims or legal fees arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
8. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
